1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the website operated at tequenovations.mom and to all personal information that Tequenovations LLC receives through that website, through direct correspondence, and through the delivery of our computer systems design, integration engineering and maintenance services. It describes what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices available to you.

The policy does not apply to systems that we design or maintain on behalf of a client. In those arrangements the client remains the controller of the data held inside its own estate, and Tequenovations LLC acts under written instruction as a processor or as a technical service provider. The handling of client production data is governed by the applicable services agreement, statement of work and data processing addendum rather than by this public policy.

By using this website or contacting our works, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the practices it describes. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not submit information through the website and instead contact us directly so that we can discuss your requirements.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in several categories, always limiting ourselves to what is reasonably necessary for the purpose at hand. The categories below describe the full range of data that may pass through our hands.

Identity and contact details

This category includes your name, business email address, telephone number, employer or organisation name, business address and job title. We receive these details when you submit an enquiry, request a quotation, sign an engagement letter or correspond with our engineering team.

Enquiry and project content

When you describe a system, a problem or a programme, we retain the description you provide. This may include architectural notes, lists of systems and vendors, process descriptions, incident summaries, budget ranges and timelines. Please avoid sending confidential production records through unsecured channels; we will establish a secure exchange before such material is required.

Technical and usage data

Our web server records standard technical information such as the internet protocol address from which a page was requested, the browser and operating system type, the date and time of the request, the page requested and the referring address. This data supports the security, availability and performance of the site.

Billing and engagement records

Where we enter into a contract, we retain billing contact details, purchase order references, invoicing history, payment status and correspondence related to the engagement. We do not store full payment card numbers on this website.

Recruitment information

If you approach us about employment or contracting opportunities, we may hold the details you volunteer, including a curriculum vitae, references and notes from conversations. This information is used solely to assess your application.

3. How We Collect Information

Most information reaches us directly from you. You type it into a contact form, send it in an email, speak it during a call, or include it in a document shared as part of a project. We do not purchase personal information from data brokers, and we do not acquire contact lists from third party marketing suppliers.

Some technical information is generated automatically when your browser requests a page from our server. This happens for every website and is a normal part of delivering content securely. We may also receive limited information from analytics tooling that we operate ourselves, configured to minimise the collection of personal identifiers and to avoid tracking you across unrelated websites.

We may receive information about you from a colleague or an employer when that organisation introduces you as a project contact. In such cases we treat the information as having been shared with your reasonable expectation and we use it only to conduct the relevant business relationship.

4. Why We Use Information

We use personal information for clearly defined business purposes. The principal purpose is to respond to enquiries and to deliver the services a client has engaged us to provide. This includes preparing proposals, planning discovery workshops, building integrations, documenting systems and supporting the resulting estate.

We also use information to administer our contracts, raise invoices, maintain financial records required by law, and manage the working relationship over time. Technical data is used to keep the website secure, detect abuse, diagnose faults and understand in aggregate which pages are useful to visitors.

With your consent, or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so, we may send occasional engineering notes or service updates. Every such message offers a simple route to opt out, and we honour opt out requests promptly. We never sell personal information, and we never rent contact lists to other organisations.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following grounds. Performance of a contract applies when processing is necessary to provide services you or your organisation have engaged us to deliver. Legitimate interests applies when processing supports the secure and effective operation of our business, provided those interests are not outweighed by your rights.

Consent applies where you have given us a clear affirmative indication, such as subscribing to communications. Legal obligation applies where we must retain or disclose information to comply with tax, accounting, regulatory or court requirements. Vital interests would apply only in an emergency affecting life or safety, which is not a routine basis for our processing.

You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before the withdrawal, and it does not affect processing that rests on another legal ground.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses a minimal set of cookies and similar storage mechanisms. Strictly necessary cookies support core functions such as security and load balancing, and the site cannot operate correctly without them. Preference storage may remember a display choice you have made, such as a collapsed navigation panel.

We do not deploy advertising cookies, and we do not operate cross site behavioural tracking. Any analytics we run is configured to aggregate data and to avoid building individual visitor profiles. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear stored data at any time. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website behaves.

If we introduce a new cookie category in future, we will describe it here and, where required, request consent before the cookie is set.

7. How We Share Information

We share personal information only in limited circumstances and only with parties who need it to perform a defined function. We may share information with our own professional advisers, such as accountants and legal counsel, where necessary to operate the business. We may share it with a client organisation where you are acting as a contact for that organisation.

We may disclose information where the law compels us to do so, where a court order requires it, or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. We may also share information with parties involved in a corporate transaction, such as a merger or sale of assets, provided the recipient agrees to protect the information on terms consistent with this policy.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with advertising networks. We do not permit a third party to use information we hold for its own independent marketing purposes.

8. Service Providers and Subprocessors

To operate the website and deliver services, we engage a small number of service providers. These may include hosting providers, email delivery services, bookkeeping support and specialist subcontractors who assist with an engineering engagement. Each provider is selected with care and is bound by written terms that require confidentiality and appropriate security.

Providers act only on our documented instructions. They are not permitted to use personal information for their own purposes, and they must return or delete the information when our relationship ends. Where a provider operates in a different country, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection travels with the data.

A current list of categories of subprocessors is available to clients on request, and material changes are communicated in advance so that objections can be raised under the applicable agreement.

9. International Transfers

We are based in the United States and our primary processing takes place there. Where information originating elsewhere is transferred into the United States, or where we must transfer information out of the United States to serve a client, we rely on recognised safeguards. These may include standard contractual clauses, binding corporate commitments or an adequacy determination, depending on the route and the parties involved.

When assessing a transfer route we consider the sensitivity of the information, the legal regime of the destination, the security controls in place and the practical ability of the recipient to resist inappropriate access demands. Where the risk cannot be adequately mitigated, we will discuss alternatives with the client before proceeding.

You may request further detail about the safeguards used for a particular transfer by writing to contact@tequenovations.mom.

10. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for any period that law requires. Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is generally retained for a period sufficient to respond and to keep a record of the discussion, after which it is deleted or archived in a form that limits identification.

Contract, billing and project documentation is retained for the duration of the engagement and for a longer period afterwards to satisfy tax, accounting, professional liability and audit requirements. Technical server logs are retained for a short operational window and are then rotated out of active systems.

When a retention period ends, information is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised so that it can no longer be associated with an individual. Where deletion is technically constrained, we isolate the information and restrict access until deletion becomes possible.

11. Security Measures

We protect personal information with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. Network traffic to this website is encrypted in transit. Access to systems holding personal information is restricted to personnel who need it, and access is granted on a least privilege basis. Authentication controls, logging and regular review reduce the risk of unauthorised access.

Our engineers follow secure development practices, including code review, dependency management and environment separation. Devices used for company work are kept patched and are protected. Physical records, where any exist, are stored in controlled premises.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. We can promise that we take the obligation seriously, that we train our personnel, and that we review our controls as threats and technology evolve. If you believe your interaction with us has been compromised, contact us immediately.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may hold some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. The right of access lets you obtain confirmation that we process information about you and receive a copy of it. The right to rectification lets you correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete. The right to erasure lets you request deletion where there is no overriding legal reason for us to keep the information.

You may also have the right to restrict processing, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and the right to data portability where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. If a request affects information belonging to a client project, we may need to refer the request to that client as the controller, and we will tell you if that is the case.

13. Making an Access Request

To exercise any right described above, write to contact@tequenovations.mom with enough detail for us to understand the request and to verify your identity. Please state the right you wish to exercise, the information concerned and a contact address for our reply. We do not require a specific form, and we will help you frame the request if it is unclear.

We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, which is generally one month for requests governed by European rules and forty five days for requests governed by California rules, subject to permitted extensions. If we need more time, we will explain why and tell you when to expect a response.

There is normally no charge for a reasonable request. Where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline to act, and we will explain the basis for that decision.

14. Privacy for Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and professional audiences. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take prompt steps to delete it from our systems.

Where a client engagement involves systems that may hold data relating to minors, the client is responsible for obtaining any required consents and for ensuring that the processing complies with the rules applicable to that data. We will support the client in meeting those obligations through the design of appropriate controls.

This position reflects our respect for the particular protections that the law provides to children and our intention to keep our commercial services within their intended audience.

15. Marketing Communications

We send marketing or informational communications only where we have a lawful basis to do so. This is usually your consent or a soft opt in arising from an existing business relationship. Messages are relevant to our services, and we do not send high volumes of promotional mail.

Every marketing message includes a way to opt out. You can also write to contact@tequenovations.mom at any time and ask to be removed from all marketing lists. We act on such requests promptly, though you may continue to receive essential service and contractual messages related to an active engagement.

We keep a suppression record so that an opt out request is honoured permanently, even if your details are later re collected through a different route.

16. Third Party Websites

This website may link to external resources, such as industry standards bodies, technology vendors or professional references. Those websites are governed by their own privacy notices, and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information. We encourage you to review the privacy notice of any external site before submitting information to it.

Links are provided for convenience and reference. Their presence does not imply endorsement of every practice on the destination site, nor does it mean that we control the destination. If you find a link that appears inappropriate or broken, please tell us so that we can review it.

17. Professional Secrecy and Client Data

Systems design and integration work often exposes us to sensitive operational detail. We treat that exposure as a matter of professional confidence. Personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations, and access to client material is limited to the engineers assigned to the engagement. We do not discuss client systems outside the engagement, and we do not use client data to promote our services without written permission.

Where we process client production data as part of an integration or maintenance service, we do so under written instruction and only for the purposes of the engagement. We apply the same security discipline to client data as we apply to our own. Any subcontractor assisting with the work is bound by equivalent confidentiality terms.

When an engagement ends, we return or securely destroy client data according to the agreement and provide confirmation on request.

18. Automated Decision Making

We do not use this website to make automated decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning individuals. Our engineering services may include the design of automated processing for clients, but in those cases the client determines the logic, the safeguards and the legal basis, and Tequenovations LLC implements the client instructions.

Where an engagement involves profiling or automated evaluation that could affect individuals, we expect the client to complete an appropriate impact assessment and to provide meaningful human review. We will advise on the technical controls needed to support transparency, contestability and correction.

Internal tooling used to run our own business, such as spam filtering, is configured to avoid unreasonably significant outcomes and is subject to human review on request.

19. Data Breach Response

We maintain an incident response procedure to detect, contain, assess and remediate security incidents. If a breach affects personal information, we act quickly to limit harm, preserve evidence and understand the cause. Our response team coordinates containment, forensic review, remediation and communication.

Where the law requires notification, we inform affected individuals and the relevant supervisory authority without undue delay. Notifications describe what happened, what information was involved, what we have done and what steps affected parties can take. We do not wait for full forensic certainty before giving an initial warning when early warning is necessary to protect people.

After any incident we conduct a review and make changes to prevent recurrence. Lessons learned are folded into our controls, training and supplier requirements.

20. Changes to This Policy

We review this Privacy Policy regularly and update it when our practices, technology or legal obligations change. The effective date and version number at the top of the page indicate the most recent revision. Material changes are announced on this page, and where required by law we seek fresh consent.

Where a change materially affects how we handle information already collected, we take reasonable steps to notify affected individuals directly if we hold their contact details. Continued use of the website after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.

We recommend that visitors review this page periodically so that they remain informed about our practices.

21. Complaints and Disputes

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first at contact@tequenovations.mom. We take complaints seriously, investigate them promptly and aim to resolve them directly and fairly. Many concerns can be settled quickly once we understand the specific issue.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may have the right to complain to a supervisory authority in your country or region. We will cooperate with a competent authority and provide the information it needs to review the matter. Where the parties agree, a dispute may also be referred to mediation before any formal proceedings begin.

We keep a record of complaints and their resolution so that we can identify patterns and improve our practices over time.
